I recently stayed at a charming motel/resort in Key Largo called Gilbert's. My purpose was to relax and enjoy the beach, and I stayed for a few nights. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and check-in was smooth. The rooms were clean, recently updated, and surprisingly quiet. The continental breakfast was better than most, with a great selection including waffles and scrambled eggs. I also loved the beach area, with plenty of lounge chairs in both sunny and shaded spots. The tiki huts serving food and drinks were a fun touch, and the staff helped with rentals for kayaks, paddle boards, and jet skis on-site.
